First stop Cartagena. I arrived at the hotel at 07:00 after a short ride from Rafael Nunez airport, with plenty of time to settle into my very chic base at Casa Lola which is located in the very colourful Getsemani district.

Dropped my luggage and wondered around the local area to get familiar with my new home for the next few days and started a bit of souvenir shopping.

Once all the ladies arrived we got to know each other over ceviche and cocktails on the rooftop pool before heading out to a cocktail masterclass at Alquimico https://www.alquimico.com

After a crash course in rum mixology and some tasting, time to jump behind the bar and practice what I’ve learnt and made my own version of classic Colombian drink.

The evening continued exploring the different floors of the bar which each had a different themes ranging from indigenous infusions, classic cocktails and Tiki style.
